Scom.ca's Multilink services allow combining two or more internet lines together allowing for maximum up time and shields you from providers randomly going down.

What the service entitles is taking two high speed internet lines, for example a dsl line, a cable line etc and through multilink protocol we tie all of the services giving you one static ip address across one of more provider.

Benefits :

1. If a provider should go down the system will keep you up on one leg of the connection while the service issues are resolved. It is unlikely that multiple providers go down at once thus you are always connected.

2. When 2 or more lines are together you enjoy the benefit of the speed of both line combined together.

3. 24/7 monitoring of your circuit and optional text / email alerts notify you of any issues with your lines.

4. Because it is a single static ip in the foreground any ssl web connections do not get dumped should a line go up or down, there is typically a .5 second delay when this is occurring but is generally transparent to the end user. This supersedes 'other' boxes on the market that tie two lines together but the ip address moves around thus causing surfing issues to ssl sites which are becoming more and more common. (Banks, Government, Customs etc ...)

5. There are other bonded dsl options available but putting all of the services through one provider does not give you the backup and security of two or more separate networks.
